Riddle of the Sphinx 2 (CLOSED)

*Next one begins 4/18/2014 (Because I’m being generous and that is my birthday)*

            ***Before I begin, I should say this is my second giveaway. This is truly a montly thing. If, in fact, you HAVE entered before and know the rules, you can skip down to ‘Ready, Set…. Go?’ in bolded type. If you don’t know the rules… Well you should read them. If you don’t follow the rules you won’t get any points (Just remember that I’ve changed it though. 100+ people enter and this goes up to an 800 point giveaway)***

   Do you want free points? Is entering contest after contest and waiting for weeks to hear about the results too tedious? DO YOU NOT WANT TO LEAVE YOUR LIFE UP TO FATE?!

            Okay, well, that just sounded like an infomercial. But, seriously. I’ve been there and I think it kinda sucks. Now its my turn to be the one offering up free points, and I’m changing it up a bit. No ‘random number chooser’, no ‘100^th watcher’. I am offering a chance for everyone participating to earn free points. What I ask in return? An answer. An answer to a monthly riddle (or two). If you can answer correctly, you WILL get points. It doesn’t matter if you are the first to answer, or if you are the 42^nd.

How to enter

    ·         Make sure you are watching me (So you can keep up to date with monthly riddles. Yes, this DOES mean this will be happening monthly)

    ·         Include in your comment below ‘I’m ready to solve the Riddle of the Sphinx’. I need to know that you read the rules.

    ·         Tag at least three friends who you think might be interested. If everyone who enters gets free points, why not get your friends in on it?

Point Distribution

            I have 400 points to distribute. Now, this does NOT mean that everyone is going to get 400 points. Heck no. I don’t have that many points. I will divide 400 points amongst everyone who enters.

Examples-

40 people enter, each get 10 points.

10 people enter, each get 40 points

100+ people enter, I will increase the point value to 800 points that Im giving away.

(So, frankly guys, you might want to get as many people as possible in this thing…)

Rules

    ·         Don’t comment the answers in the comments, or you will be thrown out of the giveaway and will get no points

    ·         Don’t comment any hints in the comments, or you will be thrown out of the giveaway

    ·         You have one chance for hints, but use it wisely. I created these riddles to be fairly easy.

    ·         When you have answered the final riddle, do as the instructions say and then wait. I cannot give everyone their points until I know how many people are in it. Complaining or noting me about it is unnecessary. No matter what, if you get to the end, you will receive points. I promise you this. (Last time I did this, everyone got 25 points for free. How about them apples, eh?)

Ready, Set… Go?

    As you may have noticed, the Sphinx is… Gone. I, personally, think she got antsy and ran off before anyone else could correctly answer her riddles. You really threw her last time around, and now she’s trying to come up with… Harder riddles?

    Oh, who am I? I’m that ‘witch’ who helped her last time. But I’m not going to put up with her any more. It’s ‘riddle me this’ and ‘riddle me that’. Just utter chaos with that cat. Still, we ARE ‘friends’, so I myself can’t be of much use. Pah! No, instead I will direct you to this wishy washy little fairy. Her hints may lead you to the Sphinx, but she speaks in rhyme. It’s quite annoying. All those fairy tale stories, never what they seem. Just determined to try and trick you! 

    This is no receiving riddles and trying to find answers. This is a true scavenger hunt, so do not expect exactly what you did last time. Some parts of this is on pure guessing, so if you make a mistake you can go back and try again.   

    Well, it’s your problem now. Here, this is her first ‘clue’ for you. This is so girly it hurts my eyes. Give me a second to turn away and gag.

When you reach my land, there will be no Sphinx in sight.

My instructions are simple- Two steps to the right.

I’ll provide you a map to begin your quest.

But alas, with the Sphinx, I fear this could all be a test.

            Now, listen closely and follow my instructions. Or the fairy’s instructions. Whatever. Before you go off on your little ‘adventure’, know this. That will take you to a map in general. You can click the various pictures to get a closer look, but do not continue on your quest using the ‘Next’ and ‘Prev’ buttons. View the full map again using the ‘All’ button. This will make it easier on you.

            Find her if you can, and don’t expect too much… Her riddle skills are lacking. If/When you find her, she will probably try and throw you off with a riddle. Find the answer on her page (Aka if the answer to the riddle was ‘badly drawn cat’, find the badly drawn cat and there you would find the link to the next riddle. Do not be thrown off with all the pictures of badly drawn cats she keeps around. She keeps forgetting that she lacks a little something we call ‘talent’) and follow the link in the description. There, you can find your prize. Good luck, mortals. Shame that cat!
